Dad's Creative Photos Make Mothers Around World Panic
14 Feb 2025For most parents, answering “Are the kids okay?” with a simple text is enough. But for Belgian dad Kenny Deuss, that question became the perfect opportunity for some creative mischief. Whenever his wife checked in on their children, Kenny responded with expertly photoshopped images of their little ones in hilariously perilous situations. Kenny's creative edits have earned him a massive Instagram following. But it's not just about the laughs; it's his unique way of sharing family life. Intrigued? Dive into Kenny's world of playful photo manipulations, where parental anxieties meet unbridled imagination. These images will definitely leave you both amused and slightly terrified.
Little Lumberjacks
When your beloved asks for a photo update of the kids, what better way to respond than with a snapshot of little budding lumberjacks? They're finally getting down to some serious forestry work! The older sister, Alix, wields an axe like a pro, while the little one, Aster, takes on the role of log carrier.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Dad is just teaching the kids valuable life skills like teamwork, coordination, and proper wood-splitting techniques. You know, the usual Tuesday afternoon activities! So there’s nothing to worry about. Except that their matching pink outfits might need washing after a little adventure.
Special Delivery
Little Alix had just launched her latest entrepreneurial venture: "Deuss Deliveries," a home-based shipping service. And she had apparently decided that her baby sister would make the perfect package. There she sat, nestled snugly in a cardboard box, surrounded by a mountain of bubble wrap and sporting a jaunty red bandana.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Of course, the situation wouldn’t have been quite as funny if the "package" had actually been taken to the post office! So Mom would definitely say that "Deuss Deliveries" would need some serious restructuring, starting with a new business plan and a very firm "no babies" policy.
Fire Starter
The backyard barbecue took an interesting turn when Kenny and his daughter decided to put their own spin on the concept of "fire starter." While Kenny stood with his tongs, Alix had her own, very unique idea about how to get the coals going. Standing on a wooden chair, she poured the oil directly onto the grill. And judging by the dramatic flames leaping from the grill, she was having considerable success.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Kenny's expertly photoshopped image captured the perfect mix of mock horror on his face and his daughter's determined concentration. Of course, in reality, Kenny was teaching his little one the proper (and much safer) ways of grilling but he couldn't resist sending this heart-stopping photo to Mom.
Extreme Family Biking
Kenny's approach to parent-child transportation definitely raised a few eyebrows – and maybe a few heart rates, too. He'd taken the concept of a "family bike ride" to new heights. While Kenny was focused on navigating their red folding bike, his daughter performed an impressive standing trick on the rear rack.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
She clutched onto Kenny's hoodie with an impressive grip, radiating pure joy and a complete lack of concern for standard safety regulations. The dynamic duo looks like they were auditioning for X Games. Of course, Kenny and his daughter enjoyed their actual bike rides in a much safer manner. But Kenny couldn't resist creating this hilarious image. He knew his wife would get a kick out of it.
Mini Contractor
Kenny's youngest daughter is taking on some serious hard work. Wielding an angle grinder on their serene patio, she's tackling the job with surprising proficiency. The little one seems totally engrossed in their construction project. The perfectly captured shower of sparks flying from the spinning blade adds a spectacular touch of drama to this carefully crafted scene.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Rest assured, no toddlers were enlisted in any actual construction work during this photo shoot! In reality, Kenny ensures all home improvement projects remain strictly in adult hands but he couldn't resist sharing this playful take on "bringing your kid to work day" with Mom.
Sweet Danger
How do you show your wife that a children's party is fun and safe? The festive atmosphere, the gifts - everything is great. But once again, Dad decided to demonstrate his creative skills. It seems like nothing: the eldest daughter, blindfolded and holding a bat, enthusiastically swings at a pinata. Her expression says that she is serious about finding all the sweets hidden inside.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
But here's what makes this scene really ‘tense’: the younger daughter, as if she were not worried about her own safety, is sitting right under the pinata. Her calm gaze and posture, as if she's just waiting for a piece of chocolate to fall from the sky, make the situation even funnier.
Just a Casual Cleanup
At home, there are situations when some dishes are accidentally broken. Especially when there are two small children in the house. And of course, adults are not so much worried about the broken dishes but about the children getting hurt by the shards. This is exactly the situation that Kenny has played out.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
While he is diligently sweeping away the glass fragments, focused and careful, his youngest daughter is sitting on the floor next to him, holding... a piece of the same glass! The little researcher seems to be completely unaware that she is holding a sharp object that could injure her. She is interested in this shiny, new object. Thus, even in the process of cleaning, Dad finds a reason to smile.
Jump In!
Aster’s first birthday was filled with laughter, balloons, and a special gift—a tiny ball pit just for her. She sat inside, giggling as she tossed the colorful balls around. But her older sister, always eager for fun, had different plans. Excited by the new toy, she decided to join in—by jumping straight into the ball pit.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
But the pit was small, barely big enough for one child. In a frozen moment of terror, the image of Aster sitting inside while her sister flew toward her played in her parents’ minds. The image is both hilarious and terrifying. The juxtaposition of Aster's innocent happiness and Alix's impending collision creates a perfect storm of tension.
Art On Skin
Many parents is familiar with the moment their child declares, "I want a tattoo!" The photo perfectly captured that universal childhood yearning: the desire for self-expression, usually met with the classic parental refrain, "When you're older, you can do whatever you want." Kenny, however, decided to fast-forward the timeline, with a healthy dose of Photoshop wizardry.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Of course, the "tattoo" was as real as Kenny's professional tattoo artist persona. The best part is how chill the daughter is. She's acting like getting a tattoo is as routine as brushing her teeth, while Dad is channeling his inner Michelangelo. All before she's even lost her baby teeth!
Little Mechanic
With the warmer weather came the inevitable chore: swapping out the winter tires. Kenny, faced with the daunting task, felt a wave of weariness wash over him. Luckily, his little helper, Aster, seemed to know exactly what to do. Or at least, she looked like she knew what to do.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
One can only imagine Mom's response to this particular status update: "Honey, when I said we needed to save money on car maintenance, this wasn't exactly what I had in mind!" But that's the magic of Kenny's parenting style – turning everyday chores into adventures that make memories.
Zoo Escape
"Just checking in on your zoo visit!" Kenny reads Mom's text. Little did she expect to receive a photo that would make any mother's heart skip several beats – their sweet daughter seemingly unaware of the formidable mountain lion emerging from its enclosure just steps behind her.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
The scene is masterfully composed for maximum maternal anxiety. The contrast between the daughter's nonchalant pose and the looming predator creates a moment of parental panic that's both hilarious and heart-stopping – exactly the kind of response Kenny loves to provoke with his creative photo updates.
BMX Baby
Kenny, like many parents, harbored a deep love for his youthful hobbies, particularly his trusty BMX bike. But with a toddler to care for and a wife working diligently, finding time for his passion seemed like a distant dream. Yet, Kenny being Kenny, he offers a creative, if slightly strange, solution.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Kenny wondered, why not combine his love for BMX with his parental duties? The solution seemed simple: attach a child seat to his bike. With his little one securely fastened, they embarked on a ride that was part errand, part extreme sport. The image is enough to make any mother's heart skip a beat.
Horror Time
Dads, it's a well-known fact, sometimes have a unique approach to children's entertainment. From introducing them to The Simpsons a little too early to, in Kenny's case, apparently believing that a zombie apocalypse is suitable viewing for infants.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
It was a decision that would have any sane parent clutching their pearls. Even some cartoons are considered too mature for young children but a zombie movie? That was venturing into uncharted (and deeply questionable) territory. Kenny knew this image was playing with fire. But he also knew it was funny.
Game On!
Finding a moment of peace when you're a parent can feel like searching for a unicorn. Kenny knew this all too well. With his wife at work and him holding down the fort at home, the siren call of relaxation (and maybe a few video games) was almost irresistible. But a toddler's demands are relentless.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
So, Dad's gaming session has taken on a rather unconventional childcare approach. The idea of "taping" his child to the wall was born. And finally, he got the opportunity to enjoy a moment of uninterrupted play. The image is a perfect blend of humor and shock value. It plays on the universal parental struggle of finding "me time" while caring for young children.
Toy Car Thrills
Every parent knows the struggle of keeping kids entertained. Kenny, like many dads, often pondered the ideal playtime scenario – something that would banish boredom for both his daughters and, let's be honest, himself. He envisioned playtime not as a series of gentle tea parties or quiet building sessions but as an epic adventure.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
He pictured his eldest daughter as a daring stunt driver, steering her toy car straight toward a makeshift ramp. And below? Her little sister, completely unfazed. Though the scene existed only in Kenny’s imagination, his photos captured that playful spirit of childhood adventure—fearless and playful.
Just a Casual Drone Flight
Kenny, like many adults, harbored a childlike enthusiasm for toys, especially the high-tech, grown-up kind. So, when his brand-new drone arrived, he was itching to take it for a spin. But with a toddler to watch, his dreams of piloting his new toy seemed grounded. That is, until inspiration struck.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Taking inspiration from delivery services like Amazon, Kenny had a "brilliant" idea. What if he attached his daughter to the drone? Of course, the thought was fleeting and purely hypothetical. No sane parent would actually do that. But the image that flashed through Kenny's mind was too good to pass up.
Look Down!
We teach our children from a young age to be careful on the streets. We warn them about open manholes, and to always look where they're going. It's a parent's worst nightmare that their child might fall into a sewer. But are adults always as careful as they want their children to be?
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Sometimes, while walking with our kids, we might get distracted by something they point out, or we might be engrossed in a conversation, and we don't see the danger right in front of us. Like an open manhole. Dangers lurk everywhere, even on the way to the store. So, sometimes even adults need a reminder to be more careful.
Playground Patrol
Every parent knows that having two or more kids is a blessing, and a great opportunity to get a little break at the playground. After all, they can play together while mom or dad scrolls through their phone, right? Well, not exactly!
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Young children are full of surprises, they need constant supervision. Especially when they're exploring playground equipment that seems designed for extreme athletes, not toddlers. Otherwise, you're just asking for tears, cries, and then, of course, the inevitable "I told you so" from Mom.
Who's In Charge of the Deep Fryer?
Who doesn't love homemade French fries? Crispy, golden, with an appetizing aroma... mmm, delicious! But cooking them with small children is not an easy task. Kids are always trying to get under your arms and help you. So parents usually put it off until better times, when the children are older and can participate in the culinary process without risking themselves.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
But Kenny decided to fantasize about it. In his imagination, his youngest daughter Esther is a real helper in the kitchen, responsible for the deep fryer. Like a true professional, she dips the potato slices into boiling oil, makes sure they don't burn, and skillfully puts the finished dish on a plate. Meanwhile, her father can enjoy his favorite dish.
Railing Relaxation
We all know that not everything that adults can do is safe for children. And not everything that adults enjoy is something they should let their kids imitate. Take Kenny, for example. He enjoys a leisurely stroll across a bridge, pausing to sit on the railing and gaze at the river flowing below. It's a peaceful and relaxing activity for him.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
But Kenny also knows that it's not something he should let his kids do. Climbing on railings is dangerous, especially when they're with their dad, who might be distracted by the view. He understands that his wife would never approve of such behavior. It's simply not logical to put a child at risk like that.
BBQ Chaos
Backyard barbecues are a classic pastime but they can be tricky when you're on solo parenting duty. It's one thing when your partner is there, keeping an eye on the kids while you focus on grilling perfection. It's another thing entirely when you're flying solo, juggling sizzling sausages and energetic little ones who are drawn to the fiery action like moths to a flame.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Kenny vividly imagined a terrible situation where he was so focused on the process of cooking meat that he forgot his children and didn't even notice the tree in the yard catching fire. But then his daughter Alix came to the rescue and put out the fire. Although this is all just Kenny's fantasies, it's fun to dream about how his children, helping him at the barbecue, become real heroes!
Tree Trap
Rescuing cats from trees is a classic image, a staple of heartwarming local news stories. But imagine a mother's reaction seeing her child stranded high in a tree. Fear and worry would instantly grip her. The first thought would be a frantic replay of the day, trying to understand how such a small child could climb so high.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Then, the inevitable question, unspoken but deeply felt: where was the father? Doubt and suspicion would surface. The unknown moments before the climb, the desperate rescue, the tense aftermath of explanations and blame. This is the plot for a real psychological thriller.
How to Get a Soccer Ball Off the Roof
Kenny, like many dads, sometimes prioritizes fun and creativity over strict adherence to safety guidelines. Take this particular photo, for example. Kenny had decided to retrieve a soccer ball that had somehow landed on the roof. Instead of simply grabbing a ladder, Kenny, in his infinite dad's wisdom, decided to construct a "retrieval system."
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
It was a wobbly tower of epic proportions, the kind of structure that would make any safety inspector cringe. And, to add to the thrill, Kenny decided that his daughter would be the one to climb this contraption and retrieve the ball. Of course, this is a playful image designed to both amuse and terrify his wife.
Welding Wonders
We all know that welding is a serious business, a trade best left to the professionals. Sparks fly, the heat is intense, and the potential for eye damage is very real. It's certainly not something you'd typically associate with a child's playtime. Yet Kenny decided to imagine how he would teach his daughter to weld.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Of course, the first step is safety. Kenny put on a special mask to protect his eyes from the bright sparks. But there's one "but": his daughter, who is standing nearby, is completely unprotected. She shouldn't even be looking at the welding, as it can damage her eyesight. Some parents, seeing such a photo, would be shocked.
When dad is not a role model
We all know that alcohol and childcare don't mix. It's a recipe for disaster. But Kenny, it seems, decided to explore this dangerous territory, at least in his imagination. He envisioned a scenario where he's home alone with the kids, his wife at work, and he decides to have a few drinks.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
The photo he created is enough to make any parent's blood run cold. It shows Kenny fell asleep at the table, empty bottles around him, while his children are… well, let's just say they're exploring the contents of those bottles. It's a scene that's both shocking and disturbing, a stark reminder of the dangers of mixing alcohol and parenting.
Don't Touch That!
Baking cookies is a dangerous game when you have kids around. They're like little cookie-seeking missiles, programmed to detect the scent of warm, sugary goodness from a mile away. And once they've locked onto their target, there's no stopping them. They'll climb, they'll crawl, they'll even deploy their secret weapon: the puppy-dog eyes.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
But not this time. Dad has a secret weapon of his own. He bought a few mousetraps and them strategically around the cookie plate, creating a minefield of potential cookie-related consequences. Desperate times call for desperate measures. How do you like this way?
Baby's First Bubbly
We've discussed the dangers of alcohol and parenting but sometimes, during holidays like New Year's, parents might enjoy a glass of champagne at the festive table. However, it's crucial to be cautious when opening a bottle, ensuring the cork doesn't hit anyone, especially your child.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
In Kenny's carefully crafted photo, he's opening a champagne bottle, and the cork is flying straight towards his youngest daughter, Aster's head. He captioned the photo with a humorous message, stating that Aster simply wanted champagne to celebrate her first New Year's, and he couldn't refuse her request. Is this kind of humor your thing?
A Masterpiece in the Making
We all know that encouraging kids to draw is a great way to foster their creativity. Parents provide paper, crayons, and markers, knowing it's beneficial for their imagination and artistic development. But what happens when that artistic expression takes a slightly different turn?
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
How would the parents react if their daughter, armed with a bucket of paint and a roller, turned their white family car into a bright masterpiece? But the biggest question, of course, would be to the father: where was he while all this artistic chaos was happening?
When Dad Takes Charge Of Halloween
Halloween is a time for kids to indulge in a little more mischief than usual. Scary costumes and spooky pranks, it's all part of the fun. But leaving Dad in charge on Halloween? That's a risk some moms might not be willing to take. Dads, bless their hearts, sometimes have a different definition of "harmless fun."
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
What's the scariest thing you did as a kid on Halloween? How about digging a grave? Okay, that's probably a bit extreme, even for Halloween. But Kenny, in his infinite dad's wisdom, decided to explore the outer limits of Halloween mischief.
High Flyers
A playground is a place of joy and fun, where children can run around, play and have fun. Kids love to swing and often ask their parents to swing them harder. Moms are usually more cautious in this matter and always restrain their children to avoid injuries.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
But fathers are usually more risky. They are easily persuaded by children, and they are not averse to having a good time, swinging their children until they are dizzy. So sometimes it's not just children who need to be supervised on the playground but fathers as well.
Toasting Trouble
As kids grow older, they gain more independence, which often means venturing into the kitchen on their own. Grabbing a snack from the fridge or reaching for a cookie jar becomes a regular occurrence. While this newfound freedom is a natural part of growing up, it also brings new challenges for parents.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
The most concerning? Kids exploring kitchen appliances, especially the ever-tempting toaster. Toasters, while seemingly innocuous, can be surprisingly dangerous. The heating elements can cause serious burns, and the potential for electrical shock is a real concern. Kenny's worst nightmare? His kids attempting to uncover the mysteries of the toaster—with a fork in hand.
A cool hiding place
A trip to the supermarket with kids can be an adventure but not always the kind you're looking for. It's crucial to keep them close, not just to avoid losing them in the maze of aisles but also to prevent them from turning the store into their personal playground.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Kids have a knack for finding the most unexpected ways to entertain themselves, and a supermarket is full of possibilities. They are naturally curious and they love to explore new things. So it's not surprising that they might be tempted to explore the refrigerator at the supermarket.
Baby Driver
We all know that cars are dangerous. That's why teaching our kids to drive is such a serious undertaking. But what if a toddler was behind the wheel, completely unsupervised? The thought alone is enough to make any parent's blood run cold. Kenny, never one to shy away from a terrifying photo opportunity, decided to explore this very scenario.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
He created an image that looks like it's straight out of a horror movie. His eldest daughter is behind the wheel of a car, driving down the street alone. And in front of the car are Kenny and his youngest daughter. To create such an image, he must have nerves of steel and a rather dark sense of humor.
Phone Tree
It is important to be mindful of what you say to your children because they can take things very literally. For example, if you tell your child that your phone company will plant a tree for every new subscription, they may think that if they put the phone in a pot and water it, a tree will grow.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
This is a dangerous misconception. So, you should explain that planting phones is not a good idea because it can damage them. And keep in mind that children are always listening. Even when you think they are not paying attention, they are absorbing everything you say.
Take Your Child to Work Day
When a dad says he's taking the kids to work, a mom might picture them playing in a supervised kids' room, maybe with a nanny, or quietly watching cartoons on a comfy couch. What she doesn't envision is them being put to work at a concert venue, pushing heavy equipment around. But that's exactly the scenario Kenny cooked up.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
The photo shows his kids, struggling to move a massive crate filled with concert gear. Meanwhile, Kenny strolls by, carrying only a small, lightweight case. It's a classic case of dad humor, taking a common phrase "take your child to work day" to its most absurd (and potentially exploitative) extreme.
Iron Man
Let's be honest, ironing isn't anyone's favorite chore. It's tedious, time-consuming, and let's face it, pretty boring. But for kids, the allure of a hot iron is undeniable. It's shiny, it steams, it's like a magical machine that transforms wrinkled clothes into smooth masterpieces.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Of course, the reality is far from magical. Irons are hot, they can burn, and they're definitely not toys. Kenny knows this but he also knows that kids are curious creatures and that sometimes, the best way to teach them about danger is to show them, in a safe and controlled environment.
Cliffside Calamity
Trips to the beach are a quintessential part of childhood, creating some of the most vivid and cherished memories. The feeling of sand between your toes, the salty air, the endless expanse of the ocean - it's a sensory wonderland for children. However, the beach also presents some unique safety challenges.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
One of the most significant dangers is the ocean itself. But the dangers don't stop at the water's edge. Many beaches have rocky cliffs that offer stunning views but pose a significant risk. Children may be tempted to sit on the edge of the cliff to take in the scenery. However, a misstep or a sudden gust of wind could lead to a serious fall.
Roof Rescue
Home improvement projects are a necessary part of homeownership but they can also be dangerous, especially when children are involved. It's important to keep children away from construction zones and to never allow them to participate in any dangerous activities.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
In this photo, we see Alex, helping her family install a new roof on their porch. She's responsible for gluing the pieces together, and she's doing so without any safety equipment. She's sitting on the roof, high above the ground, with no harness or other protection. It's a dangerous situation, and of course, no parent would have allowed it.
Sheep Ride
Taking young children to the countryside or a farm can be an incredibly enriching experience. It allows them to breathe fresh air, and enjoy nature. One of the highlights of a farm visit is the opportunity for kids to see animals up close. But children might get too curious, like trying to ride a sheep, which could scare the animal and lead to accidents.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Chasing a frightened sheep with a child on its back is not only dangerous but also stressful for both the animal and the parent. While it’s unlikely a Dad would intentionally put a child on a sheep, Moms, in particular, might double-check if such an idea was a dad’s playful suggestion.
Head Games
Baseball is a beloved American pastime, and it's great to encourage kids to get involved in sports. It's a healthy way for them to get exercise, fresh air, and learn teamwork. Teaching kids to swing a bat and catch a ball helps them stay active and spend less time glued to screens. However, it’s important to remember that moderation and safety are key.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
It’s not advisable to involve very young kids in activities that could be risky, like using them as part of a practice drill. For example, an older sister might think it’s fun to demonstrate their accuracy by placing a ball on a younger sister’s head. Even adults should avoid such risky stunts, as accidents can happen in the blink of an eye.
Hazy Days
We all remember scenes from old movies where characters sit at a table in a restaurant, smoking cigars. The smoke fills the air, creating a hazy atmosphere. But imagine if those characters weren't grown men but little children, just stopping by a cafe for some sweet drinks, before lighting up some aromatic cigars.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
It's a disturbing image, and thankfully, one that no one would ever allow to happen in real life. But it's a powerful reminder of the dangers of smoking, and how important it is to keep cigarettes and cigars away from children.
Scooter Daredevil
As children grow up, parents often want to share their hobbies with them. Kenny, like many other dads, decided that his eldest daughter should not lag behind him in all sorts of tricks. Children's games seemed too boring to him, so he decided to add a little spice.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Alix loves her scooter and loves pushing her limits. So Kenny imagined his daughter decided to do a stunt that stood out above the rest - jumping over her little sister. Of course, no sane parent would actually allow this. While kids are capable of amazing things, some stunts are best left to the professionals.
Thin Ice Danger
A winter walk in the park with children can be a wonderful idea. Kids love the snow, the crisp air, and the chance to crack thin ice on small puddles. However, this joyful activity can quickly turn dangerous if a child runs onto a frozen pond. To a child, a frozen pond might look like just a bigger puddle but the risks are far greater.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
What should a parent do if their child suddenly breaks free and steps onto thin ice? The first instinct might be to run after them but stepping onto the ice yourself is not the solution. The ice could crack under an adult’s weight, causing both parent and child to fall into the freezing water. This is a terrifying scenario that no parent should ever face.
Kids, Pools, and Summer
In the summer, one of the children’s favorite activities is splashing around in a backyard pool. Whether they’re jumping in, playing games, or just cooling off, the pool is a source of endless fun. However, this joyful activity requires constant parental supervision. Kids’ imaginations can sometimes lead them to take risks.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
For example, what if children, while their parent is busy on the phone, decide to climb onto the roof of the porch or garage and jump into the pool from a dangerous height? To them, it might seem like an exciting idea—imagine the splash and the thrill of a “cannonball” from such a height! But the reality is far from safe.
Ski Buddies
It's time for skiing! The family is all bundled up and ready to hit the slopes. Aster is especially excited, as this is her first time seeing snow. She's a bit too young to ski on her own but that doesn't mean she can't enjoy the fun. A simple solution is to use a baby carrier secured to the parent's back, to keep the child comfortable.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Trust that all actual ski instruction will wait until Aster is old enough to properly hold her own poles – and perhaps until Mom's heart can handle it! Till that time, Kenny's photoshopped fantasies will have to suffice, providing a good laugh and a reminder that sometimes, the best adventures are the ones we create in our imaginations.
Junior Chef
"Aster was eager to lend a hand in the kitchen, so I decided to give her a task: cutting vegetables," Kenny jokingly wrote. It sounds like a simple enough task but seeing a small child sitting with a huge knife in their hands, ready to chop a pepper, is a rather terrifying sight.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
It’s definitely not something to try at home. Cooking with kids can be a wonderful way to teach them skills and spend time together but it’s important to choose age-appropriate tasks. Instead of handing them a knife, let them mix ingredients, wash vegetables, or set the table.
Bike Seat Blunder
Transporting a child by bicycle can be a great way to get around but it requires strict adherence to safety rules. First and foremost, never attach a child seat to the bike’s handlebars. The handlebars are not designed to support the weight of a child, and doing so can severely affect your balance and control.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
The road is full of surprises! Cars whizz by, and there are sneaky potholes just waiting to trip you up. Now, if your little co-pilot is chilling on the handlebars, they're basically the crash test dummy. One wrong move, and oof – they're taking the impact. Nobody wants that! So, keep those precious passengers safe. And don't forget to wear your helmets.
Aster's First Snow
Picture this: Kenny, wrapped in a cozy mustard jacket, thick scarf, and winter hat, shivering from the cold. Beside him stands little Aster, his youngest daughter, rocking a sleeveless orange sundress like it’s a sunny beach day. It’s her first snow, and she’s mesmerized by the falling flakes.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
Could any parent send their child out into the snow dressed for a summer picnic? The thought sends a shiver down the spine, even more so than the imaginary chill radiating from Kenny's bundled form. But in the end, it's a charming, if slightly unsettling, glimpse into Aster's first snow day – a day she'll likely remember, even if she doesn't remember what she was wearing.
Backyard Hazards
Imagine relaxing in your backyard on a sunny day, reading a book while your child mows the lawn. Sounds harmless, right? But not when your “child” is a one-year-old who’s just learned to walk. At this age, a lawnmower is far from a suitable toy—it’s a dangerous machine that could easily pull the child along or cause serious injury.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
It’s a scenario that should never happen in real life. A better plan? Set up a playpen or bring out safe outdoor toys to keep your little one entertained while you enjoy your book. Keep the lawnmower for grown-ups and let the kids stick to sandboxes and bubbles!
My Sister, the Graffiti Canvas
Parents always love it when their children show creative talent. Whether it's music, poetry, drawing, or even graffiti, parents will always support their child's passion. They'll buy all the necessary tools and encourage them to pursue their favorite form of creativity. Of course, they'll also warn them that graffiti should only be done in designated areas.
@onadventurewithdad/facebook.com
But when you have two young talents at home, you should never take your eyes off them. You never know when one of them might decide to use their little sister as a canvas instead of a wall. Spraying paint on the body or in the eyes can have very serious consequences. Real graffiti artists always follow safety rules and wear masks.
